Reimagining the 375 Project
The pause in the 375 project allows us to strengthen the foundation that will make this project truly transformative. MDOT, the City of Detroit, Downtown Detroit Partnership, and The Kresge Foundation have deepened our collaboration to recognize this is not just rebuilding a roadway but that doing the necessary work in rebuilding trust and creating a model for how major infrastructure projects can advance community priorities. Our joint commitment ensures the community will help determine what gets built and how it serves their needs.

Through partnerships with the Kresge Foundation, L!FE Leaders Detroit and others, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) hosted a four-part Youth Engagement Focus Group Series designed to help shape the future 375 project.
The series engaged Detroit youth ages 14–24 who contributed their voices to identifying how arts, history, and culture will be represented through urban design in and around the future 375 corridor.
