Community Meetings

MDOT hosts community meetings to create an inclusive space where residents can learn about the project, ask questions, share experiences, and provide input. These meetings promote open dialogue, ongoing involvement, and ensure that community voices guide project decisions.

Local Advisory Committee (LAC)

The Local Advisory Committee (LAC) includes residents, businesses, and community representatives who help shape project plans. They share insights to guide land use, community improvements, and early design. The goal is to ensure all voices are heard and the project reflects the community’s needs and vision.

Government Advisory Committee (GAC)

The Government Advisory Committee (GAC) is made up of government representatives who provide input and share updates with their constituents on the project’s design, aesthetics, neighborhood framework, and community enhancements. The GAC promotes two-way communication, offers local perspectives, and helps identify solutions that reflect shared community goals.

Business & Workforce Development

MDOT is committed to honoring the legacy of Black Bottom and Paradise Valley by supporting local and minority-owned businesses and workforce development throughout all project phases. This includes outreach programs for training, recruitment, and connecting small businesses with project opportunities.

One-on-One Listening Sessions

The project team is committed to open, two-way communication that ensures stakeholders are heard and valued. One-on-one meetings with community members create space for meaningful dialogue, allowing the team to gather insights, answer questions, and develop solutions that reflect community needs.
